Mewalo 2019

OLYMPIC PENINUSULA

Camping on beaches that stretch for miles. Rope ladders galore. Incredible vistas and a rising tide that doesn’t lift all boats as much as threatens to cut you off from humanity. 2019 was a year to remember.

Mewalo memories always get foggy after a few months, but few things than make the sound of lapping ocean waves disappear from one’s mind. This year, tidal pools revealed themselves as the Men of Mewalo explored nooks and crannies. This year’s UAP update was mesmerizing and the collective group of guys was once thought to be a group of Special Forces vets hiking together. If that doesn’t stroke the ego, what does? Filled with grueling and quite literal ups and downs, our journey took us down rugged coastline and up and over sheer cliffs. Not for the faint of heart. Most Mewalo attendees would likely say beach camping the first night took the cake.

Mewalo 2018

UPPER COLORADO RIVER

Stalked by mountain lions, lost a set of keys, bumped into some bears on the shoreline. What’s not to love?

Taking Mewalo to new heights, a group of near 20 descended on Colorado for three amazing days on the upper Colorado river. From epic downpours which turned the river dirt brown, to a run-in with area mountain lions and climbing aboard a parked train just for the fun of it, Mewalo 2018 was a year to remember.
